Hi Stampers. We had a full day of snow in Twin Falls, Idaho on Saturday.  I guess that means I can’t avoid it any longer.  Christmas IS coming…  That means if you wanna make your own Christmas cards, now is the time to get started.  For this Christmas card, I used a non Christmas framelit set – Coffee Cup framelit dies by Stampin’ Up!

Stampin' Up! Coffee Cafe Santa Suit Coffee Cup Santa Christmas Card by Queen B Creations

This card started out with a Dapper Denim card base, 8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″.  The beautiful background is the Color Theory Designer Series Paper stack, cut to 5.25″ x 4″.  I used the Stampin’ Up! Coffee Cafe stamp set to stamp the sentiment. I stamped it onto a 5.25″ x 1.5″ strip of Whisper White card stock in Versamark ink.  I then used silver embossing powder and heat embossed it using our heat tool. The DSP and the Whisper White strip were adhered to the card base using snail adhesive.

For the focal point, I used the Big Shot and Coffee Cup framelit dies to cut out the coffee cup from red glimmer paper and the lid from Whisper White card stock.  I used glue dots to adhere a .75″ strip of Basic Black card stock over the center of the cup.  I used paper snips to trim off the excess, so that it fit the cup perfectly.  Glue dots were used again to adhere a .75″ square of gold glimmer paper and a .5″ square of Basic Black over that.

The Santa suit coffee cup was then adhered to a silver foil snowflake using glue dots. The snowflake was then adhered to the card front with glue dots. I’m in love with how it came out!
