Hi Stampers.

Welcome to the Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop for December 2017.  This month our theme is Sneak Peek: 2018 Occasions & Sale-a-Bration Catalogs!  You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Lisa Ann Bernard @ Queen B Creations or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

Stampin' Up! Bubble Over Beer Bottle Birthday Card by lisa Ann Benard of Queen B Creations

For my sneak peek – I decided to use the Bubble Over bundle.  The Bubble Over stamps set and coordinating Bottles and Bubbles Framelit dies.  This is an awesome bundle for making cards for lots of occasions and as you can see here – make a great masculine card!  I don’t know about you, but I am always looking for ideas for the men in my life!

My card starts out with a Chocolate Chip card base – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″.  The background is two sides of some coodinating DSP that is only available for FREE.  You heard me right – ONLY AVAILABLE FOR FREE!  The Bubbles & Fizz DSP is a free item in the 2018 Sale-a-bration brochure.  When you buy the bundle, cardstock and glitter & clear epoxy shapes used to make this card you get the DSP for free!

The DSP was cut to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and then an additional strip of the same DSP was cut to the height of the bottle caps and 4″ wide.  This showcases the two sides of the same DSP.  I then die cut the bottles from Chocolate Chip CS, the labels from Crumb Cake CS and the bottle caps in Basic Grey CS.  I stamped the sentiment onto the “labels” in Memento Black ink.  I attached the labels to the bottles and then the bottles to the card front.  I put one bottle cap onto a bottle and put one below – like it had been opened.

As a bit of an accent, I had sponged some Chocolate Chip ink onto the bottles (before attaching them) and then added the new Glitter & Clear epoxy shapes to make it look like bubbles and bottle condensation.  Too cute!

For the inside of the card, I used a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Whisper White CS and added a 4″ x 3/8″ strip of DSP along the bottom.  I stamped the sentiment and bubbles (from the Bubble Over stamp set) in Bermuda Bay ink.  I’m just thrilled on how this card came out and can’t wait to make it in a class next month! (Remember, if you are not local you can order the “class to go” option!).

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don’t want to miss. Remember that currently, you are at my blog – Lisa Ann Bernard @ Queen B Creations, so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next on the list.
