Hi Stampers. Who doesn’t love balloons? The Balloon Bouquet punch from Stampin’ Up! is a quick and easy way to add lots of balloons to just about any project. I love this birthday card that we made in the birthday card class last week.
This card started with a Pacific Point card base that was 11″ x 4 1/4″, scored at 5 1/2″. Then I cut off the top half of the front of the card – making the card front only 2 1/8″ tall. I had measured down 2 1/8″ and cut horizontally to the score line and then cut down the score line to the horizontal cut. The Birthday Memories DSP had these awesome balloons that worked great with my idea! The DSP is cut to 4″ x 1 7/8″ and adhered with snail adhesive.
The balloons were punched out of various colors of card stock and then sponged with the same color ink. Balloons were then attached to the card base using glue dots. The inside of the card has a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White card stock that was stamped with the sentiment “Happy Birthday”.
I just love this quick and easy card!
Here is a list of the supplies I used to make this card:
This is a really eye appealing card. I will give it a try. Love it!!
thanks!
Coming soon to California! Can’t wait.?
Lovely card but I cant seem to understand how you did it. Can you show a side view of it?
If you cut off the top, where does the back of the base attach to the front? I am a visual learner
now I think I get it – its lying on its side
I will upload a picture of the card open and add it to the post. When looking at the card from the front, the fold is on the left. Just the top half was cut off, so the bottom is still attached.
