Hi Stampers. I have a very different kind of fancy fold card for you today. This card isn’t a fancy fold on the card base – it’s on the inside! I’ve used the Stampin’ Up! Hostess Set – Hand Delivered. This is a fun set in that you can swap out the top half of the girl. She can hold a cake, books, a sign or the balloons as shown here. The balloons are perfect for using our Stampin’ Blends. The Stampin’ Blends are alcohol markers and make the balloons look almost 3 dimensional. You can see an example of how to color these balloons on a Facebook live I did last week. Click here to see it. Don’t forget to “like” my page so you get to see future Facebook lives I do.
This card starts out with a Lovely Lipstick card base, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. Next up is a 4′ x 5 1/4″ layer of the 2018-2020 in-colors DSP in Lovely Lipstick. The top layer is a 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ layer of Whisper White that I stamped onto before adhering to the card. (Always best to stamp first, if you make an error you can flip it over and stamp again.)
I stamped this Whisper White layer with stamps from the Host set – Hand Delivered. (This is only available to purchase, for $13, with a party or an order over $150.) I stamped the skirt/legs, balloons and sentiment in Memento Black ink. Next, I colored it with Stampin’ Blends and adhered it to the card front with sail adhesive.
The inside of the card has a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Blueberry Bushel CS, scored at 2″, 4″, and 6″. I decorated the four panels with DSP from the 2018-2020 in-color 6″ x 6″ DSP. The Pinapple Punch was cut to 1 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ and adhered to the first panel. A 1 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ layer of Call Me Clover DSP was adhered to the third panel. Next I cut 2 panels of Whisper White CS – 1 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ for the second and fourth panel. A 1 3/4″ x 3/4″ piece of Grapefruit grove was adhered to the bottom of one of the Whisper White layers and adhered to the second panel inside the card. The last Whisper White layer has a 1/4″ x 3 3/4″ strip of Pineapple Punch DSP.
When I adhered the Blueberry Bushel layer to the inside of the card I folded it in an accordion fold and put adhesive on the first and fourth panels. You can see in the photo how the inside of the card looks. It’s different and kinda cute. What do you think?
