Hi Stampers. It’s back to school week here in Twin Falls, Idaho. Teachers are amazing and we should show them we appreciate all the hard work they do to keep our younger minds engaged and learning. For today’s card I’m going to use the Host Set, Hand Delivered, that I used on Monday. This is the same set of legs and skirt, but now she is holding books. Instead of coloring with the Stampin’ Blends, this time I have chosen to color with the watercolor pencils.
This Hand Delivered stamp set is only available with Host Rewards. If you have a party over $150 (or place an order over $150), you can purchase this adorable stamp set for just $13.00.
This card starts out with a Shaded Spruce card base, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. Next up is a 4″ x 5 1/4″ layer of Cherry Cobbler CS. The main stamping layer is a 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ layer of Whisper White CS. I stamped the lady (legs and skirt) and the books in Memento Black ink. The sentiment was stamped in Shaded Spruce ink.
I colored using the Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils and blended using the Stampin’ Up! Blender Pen. This helps to remove the lines from coloring and spreads the color around. This layer was then attached to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stampin’ Tip: Be careful not to blend too much, too much moisture the Whisper White CS may begin “pilling” a little bit. (If you are wondering what pilling is – it’s when wet paper gets scrubbed by a brush, and the surface peels up. It can form little knobby balls like an old sweater, hence “pilling.”)
For the inside of the card I used the same bottom stamp and then the sign for the top half. Onto the sign I stamped the Thank You sentiment. All these were stamped in Memento Black ink. I then colored the skirt and legs with the Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils and blended with the Stampin’ Up! Blender Pen, to match the outside.
