Hi Stampers. Thank you for those of you who voted for me in Kylie’s International Highlights! I’m happy to say that I won 3rd place! You can see my post from August 8th with my winning card – HERE. Today we are doing a blog hop of the top 10 winners of Kylie’s International Highlights. We were asked to make teacher gifts.
I chose to make a notebook, from our clear mount stamp cases, that matches the card that won me 3rd place.
As with the card, this gift features the Stampin’ Up! Large Letter Framelit Dies and the Picked for You stamp set.
The inside of the case was first lined with a 7″ x 10 1/2″ piece of DSP. I chose to use the green from the Tranquil Textures DSP. The reverse side didn’t match too well so, I lined 1/2 of the inside with a 7″ x 5″ piece of the same paper. The front is a 4 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ piece of Shaded Spruce CS and a 4 1/4″ x 6 1/4″ piece of Real Red cardstock. The rest matches the card from my August 8th blog post. (You can go HERE for those directions.) These pieces are placed between the outside of the case and the plastic cover, keeping this all neat and protecting it.
On the inside left you can see the green DSP behind the plastic. I made this 3″ x 4″ envelope out of a 6″ x 6″ piece of Real Red CS on the Envelope Punch Board. The greetings were both stamped onto Whisper White CS. The “You are Terrific” was cut out with a circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies. Behind that is a slightly larger Shaded Spruce circle cut out with the Layering Circles Framelit Dies. The thanks was cut to 2 1/2″ x 1″ and the corners were rounded.
On the right side is a small notepad. I used a piece of matching DSP to cover the top, making it match and adhered it to the inside with tear and tape adhesive.
On the back side. I stamped the “You are the Best!” in Real Red ink onto Whisper White CS and punched it out with the Pretty Label Punch. I punched out a second shape out of Real Red CS using the Pretty Label Punch. I cut the Real Red shape in half down the middle and adhered it behind the Whisper White shape letting a little bit of Real Red show on top and bottom. This two is between the case and outer cover.

An utterly amazing idea for a gift, Lisa! Love it xx
Congratualations, Lisa! As a teacher myself, I believe that this is an excellent gift any teacher would love to receive. Putting the notebook in the case is a smart move. And, love the new table in your craft room. I want to get there and try it out!
Thanks, Melinda. Call me – I miss you!
