Hi Stampers. The smell of fall is in the air, pumpkin spice is back at the coffee shops and school is back in session! Show those teachers that you appreciate them with a thank you card. The Stampin’ Up! Picked for You stamp set is perfect for such cards! I have used this set on several cards lately. It’s really fun!
This card starts with a 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ card base, scored at 4 1/4″ in Cherry Cobbler CS. I then cut four 1 7/8″ x 1 7/8″ squares of Granny Apple Green and four 1 3/4″ x 1 3/4″ squares of Basic Black CS. The Granny Apple Green CS was adhered to the card front using liquid glue. I arranged them evenly spaced towards the top of the card, as seen in the photo.
The apples were stamped onto Watercolor Paper using the Stamparatus and the Stampin’ Up! Picked For You stamp set. The red apple was stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink. Layer one was “stamped off” once before stamping onto my Watercolor Paper, the next two apple layers were stamped full strength. For the stem I used Early Espresso ink. This process was repeated using Granny Apple Green ink for the green apples. I then cut out the apples out using my paper snips and adhered them to the squares on the front of the card front with liquid glue.
For the sentiment across the bottom of the card front, I cut a 1/2″ x 4″ strip of Granny Apple Green CS and used the Banner Triple Punch to flag both ends. Many Thanks was stamped onto a 2 5/8″ x 3/4″ strip of Whisper White CS in Memento Black ink and sponged Granny Apple Green ink around the edges using a sponge dauber. The flagged strip was adhered to the card front with multipurpose liquid glue. The sentiment was adhered over the flagged strip with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The inside of the card is lined with a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Whisper White CS. I stamped the “You are Terrific to the Core!” sentiment in Granny Apple Green ink.
