Hi Stampers. I can’t believe how fast time is flying by, Halloween will be here before we know it! I have several Halloween projects I’ve done that I still want to share with you.  This card I made on one of my recent Facebook Live broadcasts. (That FB Live is uploaded to YouTube and featured for you below).

I love simple cards that pop a wow.  The eclipse technique is great for that!  This card started with a Gorgeous Grape card base, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. Next is a 5 1/4″ x 4″ layer of Basic Black CS and then a 5″ x 3 3/4″ layer of Designer Series Paper.

For this card, I used the ghosts from the Toil & Trouble DSP. I used the Large Letter Framelit Dies to cut the word “BOO” out of the DSP on my Big Shot. Next, I cut out the same letters in fun foam to lift the letters off of the card base. (You can also use mini stampin’ dimensionals to pop them up).

The DSP (without the letters) is adhered to the card base first, next you place the letters into the holes (without glue) to find out where the centers of the letters go. Then adhere the centers of the letters with glue and remove the letters themselves. Using glue to adhere the fun foam letters into the holes and then the DSP is glued over the top of those.

For the greeting, I used a 1″ x 4″ strip of Gorgeous Grape CS and a 3/4″ x 4″ strip of Whisper White CS. I stamped the greeting, from the Stampin’ Up! Cauldron Bubble stamp set, in Gorgeous Grape ink onto the WW strip. The ends of both strips were flagged with the Banner Triple Punch. I added three gems to the end of the strips and popped them onto the card front with stampin’ dimensionals.

Inside the card is lined with a 5 1/4″ x 4″ layer of Whisper White CS.  The witch and hat were cut out of the Toil & Trouble DSP using the Cauldron Framelit Dies that coordinate with the Cauldron Bubble stamp set – or you can fussy cut them if you wish. I adhered the witch and hat using multipurpose liquid adhesive. The greeting Trick or Treat is stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink.
