Hi Stampers. I am writing you from my hotel room in Miami as we get ready to board the cruise ship today for a week long cruise to the western Caribbean. (Royal Caribbean Allure of the Seas). We traded the cold of Idaho for the 85 degree weather in Miami and beyond. This makes me thankful for things in my life. One of those things is my job and it’s YOU that make that possible by supporting me in my business. So today’s thank you card is for you…

Stampin' Up! Layering Alphabet dies handmade thank you / thanks card by Lisa Ann Bernard of Queen B Creations

This card starts with a thick Very Vanilla card base, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. I then used the big shot and the layering alphabet frame lit dies to cut the word “thanks” one letter at a time. The main die in this set that holds each letter has little notches on it to ensure that your letter is centered so each one is in the same spot, making them easy to line up on the card front.

(Note: if you watch the video below you will see that my die broke during my facebook live. Turns out it was defective and I had a new one from Stampin’ Up! in my mailbox in less than a week. I LOVE this company!!!)

Stampin' Up! Layering Alphabet dies handmade thank you / thanks card by Lisa Ann Bernard of Queen B Creations The colors I used represent “fall” to me. The colors left to right are: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Old Olive, Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze. I then used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the letters to the card base, starting with the letter “s” and ending with the letter “t”.

Stampin' Up! Layering Alphabet dies handmade thank you / thanks card by Lisa Ann Bernard of Queen B CreationsI chose to add a splash of color to the inside of the card by adhering a 4” x 5-1/4” layer of Cajun Craze CS. Then I stamped the sentiment, from the All Things Thanks stamp set, in Cajun Craze ink onto a 3-3/4” x 5” layer of Very Vanilla CS. After I made sure my stamping was good, I adhered the Very Vanilla CS over the Cajun Craze CS on the inside of card. (I always stamp before adhering in case I need to flip it over and try again – LOL).

Here is my Facebook Live showing how to use these dies:

I hope this post encourages you to thank someone in your life for supporting you with a handmade card, the way that I am thanking you for supporting me.

Have a great week!
