Hi Stampers. As we creep ever closer to Christmas, the winds have turned cold here in Idaho.  With those cold winds a few snow showers have fallen upon us too.  It looks beautiful, FROM INDOORS! I dislike driving in the stuff.  It still scares this Northern California girl. However, it definitely gives a feel that Christmas is in the air.

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Blizzard Christmas card with snowflakes by Lisa Ann Bernard of Queen B Creations

I am in love with this color combination. It came out so soft and beautiful. I started with a Bermuda Bay card base, 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″. Next I adhered a layer of Coastal Cabana CS that is 5-3/8″ x 4-18″ using liquid glue. I then stamped the snow blizzard onto a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White CS, using stamps from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Blizzard stamp set. The snow blizzard is stamped in Coastal Cabana & Bermuda Bay ink. I would ink and them stamp multiple times before inking again, giving the gradation of color. That layer was then adhered to the card front using liquid glue.

I stamped the greeting onto a small strip of Whisper White CS using Bermuda Bay ink and matted it with a slightly larger piece of Bermuda Bay CS.  The sentiment is adhered with stampin’ dimensionals. The snowflakes were cut out of Sparkle Glimmer paper using the Blizzard Thinlit Die and adhered the snowflakes to the card front using mini glue dots.  Each snowflake was then topped with a single Rhinestone Basic Jewel.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the snowflakes in upper left and lower right corner of a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White CS.  The snowflakes and the sentiment (also from the Beautiful Blizzard stamp set), were stamped with Coastal Cabana ink.
