Hi Stampers. Today I’m making a Christmas Thank You card using the Stampin’ Up! Dashing Deer stamp set and the corner fold technique. Thank you notes seem to have fallen to the wayside and I think they need to come back. Lets make people feel special by sending them a handmade thank you card.
The Cherry Cobbler card base is 11″ x 4 1/4″, scored at 5 1/2″. I then made the corner cuts at 3 1/4″ and folded it over.
On the front of the card I used a 4 1/8″ x 5 5/8″ piece of Mossy Meadow card stock covered by a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Festive Farmhouse designer series paper. In the 3 1/2″ square I added a 3 1/2″ square of Mossy Meadow CS followed by a 3″ x 3″ layer of Very Vanilla CS.
I wrapped some Mossy Meadow ribbon around the card on the left inside and used glue dots to attach it on the inside of the card. Then I made the bow and attached that on the front with glue dots.
I finished it off by adding 3 of the smallest Gold Faceted Gems. (Note: a design tip is to add these sorts of things in odd numbers.)
On the inside of the card is a 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ layer of Mossy Meadow followed by a 5 1/4″ x 4″ layer of Very Vanilla CS. I stamped the sentiment and smaller deer (from the Stampin’ Up! Dashing Deer stamp set) in Mossy Meadow ink.
Here is how the square and ribbon look from the inside. I hope this card inspires you to send out a few thank you notes of your own this year!
