Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop Badge

Hi Stampers! Welcome to the Global Stamping Friends Seasonal Blog Hop. This month, we’re showcasing the theme of “seasons.” I decided to create a Twist and Pop Panel card for Christmas. I combined a few different stamp sets to get just the right look and greeting. Once you get the hang of this fun fold, it’s easy to adapt it to any theme or stamp set you like! Check out the video below for a step-by-step tutorial.

My twist and pop panel card starts with a Merry Merlot card base. For the front, I layered a piece of Joyous Noel DSP and some Sparkling Glimmer Paper, which I ran through the Big Shot using the slope die from the In The Woods set. I then die cut the tree from Tranquil Tide cardstock, also using the In The Woods dies. To give it a snowy effect, I added some liquid glue and sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds glitter on top.

Inside the twist and pop panel card, I layered a piece of Tranquil Tide cardstock at both the top and bottom. Over these, I added Whisper White cardstock. For the top panel, I embellished it with a strip of Merry Merlot cardstock and a matching piece of Joyous Noel Designer Series Paper, just like on the card front. On the bottom panel, I stamped the tree from the Winter Woods stamp set using Tranquil Tide ink. The sentiment, from the Spirited Snowman stamp set, is stamped in Merry Merlot ink.

The video below demonstrates how to create the unique mechanism that allows the panels to twist and pop. For the Merry Merlot cardstock panels, I layered Tranquil Tide cardstock and Whisper White cardstock squares, stamped with images from the Tin of Tags stamp set. I alternated between Merry Merlot and Tranquil Tide ink for added visual interest!

This twist and pop panel card is not only a delight to make but also brings such joy when people see it for the first time. I hope you’ll give it a try!

If you’re in the United States and don’t already have a demonstrator, I would love the chance to be YOUR demo. You can use the links below to purchase any or all of the products used in creating this card. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me. I’m here to help!
