Hi Stampers. Welcome to the Global Stamping Friends Seasonal Blog Hop. Today we are featuring “seasons”. I chose to create a Twist and Pop Panel card for Christmas. I used a couple different stamps sets to get the look and greeting I was looking for. But, once you figure out how this card works, you can make them with all sorts of themes and stamp sets. I have included a video below to show you how it’s made.

My twist and pop panel card card starts with a Merry Merlot card base, 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″. The front of the card has a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of the Joyous Noel DSP and a 4″ x 3″ piece of Sparkling Glimmer Paper that I put through the big shot with the slop die from the In The Woods thinlit dies. I die cut the tree out of Tranquil Tide CS with the In The Woods thinlit dies. A little liquid glue and some Dazzling Diamonds glitter gives the effect of snow.

Inside the twist and pop panel card I have a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Tranquil Tide CS, top and bottom. These are covered by a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Whisper White. On the top one, I accented it with a 1″ x 3 3/4″ strip of Merry Merlot CS, followed by a 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ strip of the same Joyous Noel DSP used on the front of the card. On the bottom panel, I stamped the tree from the Winter Woods stamp set in Tranquil Tide ink. The greeting, from the Spirited Snowman stamp set is stamped in Merry Merlot ink.

The video below show how to create the mechanism that makes the panels twist and pop. On the Merry Merlot CS panels I have layered Tranquil Tide CS and Whisper White CS Squares stamped with stamps from the Tin of Tags stamp set, alternating Merry Merlot and Tranquil Tide ink!
This twist and pop panel card is such a fun card and it’s even more fun to see the look on peoples face when they open it! I hope you give it a try.
