Hi Stampers.  Today I have a fun “Boozy Box” that was designed by fellow demo Erica Cerwin.  She shared how to do this last October using the Alpine Adventure bundle and the Festive Farmhouse plaid DSP.  I chose to change up her winter ski lodge style to a more Valentine’s Day theme.  I am thrilled with how it came out and gave away several of these as gifts.  The people I gave them to loved them!

For the base of this box, I used a piece of Blushing Bride CS 7-3/4″ x 11″. On the long side, I scored this at 1/2″, 2-1/4″, 4-1/4″ and 6″.   The short side was scored at 1-3/4″ and 6″. I used the Simply Scored score board because I felt that it gave me the most accurate measurements.  It can be done with the Stampin’ Trimmer, but you need to be careful on placement.

Next, I punched out a 1-3/8″ circle and two 1″ circles from scrap paper. I used these circles to figure out placement for the holes to hold the test tubes and the bottle. I attached them where I wanted them with a tad of snail adhesive and then punched over them. This is where the Hot Chocolate Mix, tiny Marshmallows and Baileys Irish Cream sample will be inserted.  (I purchased the test tubes at our local craft store in the jewelry bead department).

Next, I decorated the box. For the back, I cut a piece of Whisper White CS 4-1/8″ x 3″ and a piece of Tropical Escape DSP 4″ x 2-7/8″.  Then for the bottom front, I cut a piece of Whisper White CS 4-1/8″ x 1-7/8″ and a piece of Tropical Escape DSP 4″ x 1-3/4″.  I wrapped a piece of Whisper White 3/8″ Metallic Edge Ribbon around the bottom of the box and tied a bow on the right side of the front.

For the sentiments, I used the Forever Lovely stamp set.  The “Happy Valentines Day” is stamped on a strip of Whisper White CS using Blushing Bride ink.  That is layered on top of a strip of DSP and a strip of Blushing Bride CS.  All three layers were flagged on the end using the Banner Triple Punch.  The “Love You” is stamped onto a scrap of Whisper White CS and die cut out using the Layering Circles Dies. I also used the Layering Circles Dies to die cut the scalloped circle in Blushing Bride CS.  The white circle is adhered to the pink circle using a Stampin’ Dimensional. Glue dots were used to adhere both sentiment to the front of the box.  Just too cute!
