Hi Stampers. Welcome to the latest Global Stamping Friends blog hop. In today’s hop we will be featuring items that are in the new 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. We will use both new and carry over items. I hope you find our blog hop inspiring and that you get creative along with us.
I love my job! Just last weekend I traveled to Salt Lake City to attend our OnStage convention. It was amazing! While I have attended these events for years, this was the first year that one of my team members was able to attend with me. We had a blast! I work for such a fabulous company and love hanging out with a room full of people who love what they do! While we were there we each got a copy of the brand new catalog and some brand new Stampin’ Up! products. Today I will be showcasing one of my favorite bundles from the new catalog, It Starts With Art.
I attended Stampin’ Up! OnStage (basically our convention) in Salt Lake City and Wendy Cranford demonstrated this bundle. She made this coupon portfolio and I knew I had to try it! This would be awesome to hand out with a new catalog, making the three bookmarks each a coupon for buying Stampin’ Up from me. How fun would that be?!?!
This is my version. My version starts with a 12″ x 9″ piece of CS in one of the yummy new 2019-2020 in-colors – Seaside Spray. On the short side, I scored it at 6″, rotated the cardstock 90 degrees and scored at 6″ & 9″. I removed all the bottom 3″ on one of the panels as shown in the graphic below:
I adhered Follow Your Art DSP to my base. The 6″ x 3″ panels have a 5-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ pieces of DSP, while the 3″ x 3″ panels have 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ (note: make sure you are adhering to the reverse side, since those panels will fold up. Then I used a 1″ hole punch to cut a notch into each 3″ x 3″ panel. The bottom panels get folded up and attached with tear and tape on both sides of each panel. The “coupons” are 2-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ pieces of Thick Whisper White CS and slip into the pockets. Each of these “coupons is decorated with buttons cut out using the Arts & Crafts dies and a 1/8″ hole at the top with a strip of 1/8” ribbon in the top of each “coupon”.
For the cover, I used a 2-1/4″ x 5″ piece of Purple Poise CS followed by a 2″ x 4-3/4″ piece of Whisper White CS. Onto the Whisper White layer I stamped the sentiment in Pacific Point ink and stamped buttoms in Pacific Point, Blushing Bride, Coastal Cabana, Calypso Coral and Crushed Curry. (It was easy to decide which colors to use. I just used the ones listed on the back on the pack of Follow Your Art DSP.
I stamped the stack of ribbons, ink refills and markers in Basic Gray ink and colored them with the Stampin’ Blends. I then cut these out using the Arts & Crafts dies. The marker and ink refill I adhered directly to the front, the ribbons were adhered over them using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Once it was done, it did not want to stay together (it’s kinda thick), so I created a belly band out of a 3/4″ x 7″ piece of Purple Posey CS. I’m just tickled pink how it came out!
