Hi Stampers. Welcome to the July Global Stamping Friends blog hop. This month we are featuring Stampin’ Up! in-colors. The 2019-2020 in-colors are: Blueberry Bushel, Call Me Clover, Pineapple Punch, Lovely Lipstick & Grapefruit Grove. The 2019-2021 in-colors are: Pretty Peacock, Seaside Spray, Terracotta Tile, Purple Posey & Rococo Rose. At the bottom of my post is an arrow to take you to the next blog in our hop. In case you get lost, I have also provided a blog hop line-up.
For those of you wondering… Here is a quick comparison of the 2019-2021 in-colors to those in the existing Stampin’ Up! color palette.
I chose to use the new 2019-2021 in-colors and the Abstract Impressions stamp set and the coordinating Springtime Impressions Dies. Each card base is 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″ – one in each of the new 2019-2021 in-colors.
I used a die cutting machine and the large Springtime Impressions dies in the same color and glued it to the same color card base using the fine-tip glue pen.
I paired each in color with an existing color in our Stampin’ Up! color palette. With the Pretty Peacock, I paired Mint Macaron. The Mint Macaron layer is 3-1/2″ x 2-3/4″, followed by a 3-1/4″ x 2-1/2″ layer of Whisper White layer that I stamped on.
Inside each card is a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Whisper White CS. In the lower right corner of each inside layer I stamped another 2-step flower from the Abstract Impressions stamp set in the two colors and a leave in Old Olive. It is then adhered to the inside using snail adhesive.
I paired Highland Heather with my Purple Posey card. I was one of the lucky (?) ones to be able to order a Purple Posey ink pad at OnStage. It foams each time I try to stamp with it, so Stampin’ Up! has ordered the manufacturer to repair this before we sell it again. As you can see here, the image is a little blurry due to the foaming… 🙁
+
With the Rococo Rose, I paired Blushing Bride. The stamps are all from the Abstract Impressions stamp set. The flowers are two step (using the two colors) and then the leaves are two step using Pear Pizazz and Old Olive. The the “Thank You” is stamped in the featured in-color.
I paired Blueberry Bushel with Seaside Spray. For all the front flowers and stems I used the Stamparatus, it worked great! If you don’t have one of these yet – you want one! I was able to place step one on one plate and step two on the other plate. The flowers were on one side and the leaves on the other. This made my project go quickly and kept them all looking the same, which was my intention.
I chose to pair Calypso Coral with the Teracotta Tile. The colors are very close! On each of these cards the coordinating color is adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and the Whisper White layer I stamped onto is adhered over that using snail adhesive.
I think this will make a beautiful set to give to some one as a gift.
