The beauty of the Paper Pumpkin kit is that you can follow the directions provided in the kit to make the projects as they were designed, or use the supplies as a starting point and let your creativity run wild. On this hop we will be sharing lots of ideas with you on how to use this March Paper Pumpkin kit: May Good Things Grow.

For July, we were given a beautiful kit to work with that coordinates with existing product from our Annual Catalog.  I chose to work with the nautical portion of this kit and add a pizza box and the stamp set, High Tide to make it a little something different.

I used the card base that came in the kit and added a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of Mossy Meadow CS and a 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ piece of Whisper White CS.  I started by cutting a large circle out of a scrap piece of CS using the Layering Circles dies and sponged Calypso Coral ink and Pumpkin Pie ink to create a large sun.

Next, I used the High Tide stamp set to stamp the water waves using Seaside Spray ink.  Over the stamped waves, I sponged some Pumpkin Pie ink and Calypso Coral ink to create the sun reflection down the middle at an angle. Seaside Spray ink was then sponged on either side of the reflection.

The sailboat is from the kit and is attached to the card front using mini stampin’ dimensionals. The birds from the High Tide stamp set were stamped in the upper right corner in Basic Gray ink.

On the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the kit in Basic Gray ink and the seashell (also from the kit) in Sahara Sand ink.  I love how this card came out!

To coordinate with the card, I decorated on of the Stampin’ Up! Pizza boxes. All the pieces used in the decorating of the box were from the kit. I cut up one of the card bases, the solid mossy meadow color was on the back side of the card base and the stripes were on the front.  The sentiment was stamped onto the strip (from the kit) in Night of Navy ink and attached with stampin’ dimensionals. The linen thread and the wheel were tucked behind the sentiment.
As you see here – and will see throughout the rest of the hop, there are many possibilities with this adorable kit!
