Hi Stampers. Welcome to my debut on the Inspire, Create & Share Blog Hop Team. Today our theme is Beautiful Bundles! I chose to do a floating frame technique with the It Starts With Art bundle.
This card is made using Glad Press & Seal. I found mine to be a bit too sticky, so I patted it with my hands (letting the oils from my hands transfer to the press & seal) making it less sticky.
I started by stamping the items from the It Starts With Art stamp set in Memento Black ink onto Whisper White CS and coloring them with my Stampin’ Blends. They were then cut out using the Arts & Crafts Dies and placed randomly on a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Whisper White CS.
Next, I placed the press & seal over the top of the pieces and trimmed off the excess with my paper snips. Can you tell that my press & seal was decorated in Disney Frozen… LOL
Using a circle die from the Layering Circles Dies, I cut a circle from the middle of this layer (with the press & seal still in place).
After cutting the circle out, I gently pealed off the press & seal, keeping the stamped pieces on the plastic wrap. Next, I used ALOT of stampin’ dimensionals – regular size and mini to place a dimensional on every single piece of CS.
For card one, I used a Gorgeous Grape cardbase – 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″. The outside layer from the process above was placed onto a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Whisper White by exposing the sticky on the dimensionals and placing the CS very gently removing the press & seal. I stamped the sentiment onto a scrap of Whisper White CS in Coastal Cabana ink and punched it out with the 1″ circle punch. Using the Stitched Shapes Dies, I die cut a slightly larger stitched circle from Highland Heather CS. I mounted the two of these in the center of the circle in the card front.
For this card, I stamped onto a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Whisper White CS. For the buttons I just stamped directly onto the inside of the card base using Coastal Cabana, Highland Heather & Blushing Bride. For the ink bottle I stamped with the Memento Black ink and colored with the Stampin’ Blends.
For card two, I used a Thick Whisper White CS – 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″. Onto this card front, I exposed the sticky on the dimensionals and attached the circle part of the process above and then very gently removed the press and seal. I stamped the sentiment in Coastal Cabana ink onto a 3/4″ x 3-1/2″ strip of Whisper White CS. Next, I cut a strip of Blushing Bride CS 1″ x 3-1/2″, a strip of Coastal Cabana CS 3/4″ x 4″ and a piece of Highland Heather CS 1/2″ x 4-1/4. I flagged the end of each of these strips using the Triple Banner Punch and then arranged and attached them to the lower part of the card front using snail adhesive.
Because this is a Whisper White cardbase, there was no need to line the inside. For the buttons I just stamped directly onto the inside of the card base using Coastal Cabana, Highland Heather & Blushing Bride. For the ink bottle I stamped with the Memento Black ink and colored with the Stampin’ Blends.
I did this technique with a different stamp set for one of my Facebook Lives on my FaceBook Page. You can find that and many other great ideas on my YouTube channel.
Remember that the first time a bundle appears in a catalog, it is offered at a 10% off discount if you buy the stamp set and dies together.
