Hi Stampers. When my husband and I moved to Twin Falls Idaho a few years ago, we got accepted into his cousins group of friends.  We often frequent a local restaurant and request the most AMAZING waitress!  Carissa is the best waitress ever.  Even if we haven’t been in for a few months, she will still remember our drink order and what menu item we usually get.  She can take orders from our table of fifteen and not write a single thing down. In addition to the great memory, she also is great at keeping up with us and is always very sweet.

The Thursday before Christmas we all went to have dinner in Carissa’s section and had a great time!  She will be having another baby next year, so we decided to give her a Christmas Blessing. At the end of dinner we presented Carissa with this card with a “few dollars” inside from each of us. It made her cry – it was awesome!

Being the card maker of the group, they asked me to make a card.  They requested that it be larger that the standard A2 card and have plenty of room for signatures.  The over all card size is 4-1/2″ wide and 6-1/4″ tall. (I believe it’s referred to as an A6 size). Because I did not have any A6 envelopes, I made one using DSP and the retired envelope punch board. The inside of the card has another fold so that it opens up to a large area for everyone to sign.

I chose to use the beautiful Christmastime is Here bundle.  I used the Designer Series Paper on the front of the card and created a window using the Layering Circle Dies and framed it with Gold Glimmer paper.

Since (of course) I waited until the last minute, I chose to die cut the roses from the DSP instead of stamping them. I think it’s just AWESOME that Stampin’ Up! makes dies that cut images out of the DSP as well as the stamped images!

We all had so much fun that we decided to make this an annual tradition to give someone a Christmas Blessing. I am always happy to partake and provide the handmade card. 🙂
