Hi Stampers. I don’t know about you, but I’m not really a football fan. My hubby and I did go to a Superbowl party yesterday, but more for the company than the game. His cousin always throws fun parties with a theme, great food, great drinks and great people! We had a lively game of charades at half-time using football terms. Then my hubby and I were content to come home, put on our jammies and binge watch TV while it snowed outside.
Monday’s put my back in my craft room. I LOVE that my job entails me papercrafting and sharing my ideas with you! Stampin’ Up! is an exciting time in that there are so many more rewards for shopping, hosting and joining. Today’s card is made using a FREE stamp set – the Thoughtful Blooms stamp set is a level 1 and a coordinating Small Bloom punch is a level 2 reward. I used a sample in the Sale-a-bration brochure as my inspiration for this card.
The card base is Blueberry Bushel – I love this color and I’m going to miss it when it retires in June. I paired it with the 2018-2020 Designer Series Paper – with this adorable gingham pattern. This, too, will retire in June. A layer of the Blueberry Bushel gingham DSP was adhered to the card front using snail adhesive. The stamping was done on a Whisper White layer using Seaside Spray, Blueberry Bushel, Garden Green and Blushing Bride inks.
Using the 1/2″ circle punch, I notched a whole on each side of the layer about an inch up from the bottom. This made a little valley for the Whisper White Bakers Twine to rest in. I then tied a small bow on the left side and attached it to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. For the sentiment, I stamped the word “congratYOUlations” onto a scrap of Whisper White CS and punched it out using the Classic Label Punch. The sentiment was added above the bakers twine using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The inside of the card was kept simple using a 1/2″ strip of the gingham DSP and a few small flowers in the lower right corner. If you need more instruction or measurements, please watch the video below – don’t forget to subscribe while you are there!
