Hi Stampers, how is your quarantine going? I have spent most of it making cards and helping my husband with his new laser engraving machine. When my friend Lorri Heiling made a card using This Little Piggy and adding a face mask to it – I knew I just HAD to try it!
I started with a Balmy Blue card base. This color blue looked perfect for the sky on a sunny day. One of the dies from the Delicate Lace Edgelit Dies looked like the top of a fancy fence to me and the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper has this pretty green that looked like grass.
I stamped the piggy in quarantine (from the This Little Piggy stamp set) in Basic Gray ink onto Whisper White CS and colored him with the Petal Pink stampin’ blends. Then I die cut that with a circle die and the Petal Pink CS with a scalloped circle die. To look like sky and grass, I cut a stamping sponge into wedges and sponged some Seaside Spray ink above and Old Olive ink below the pig. The “stayed home.” was typed on my computer and printed on Whisper White CS and punched out using the Classic Label punch. Download the PDF by clicking HERE.
Next, I stamped the head of the piggy in quarantine onto a scrap of Whisper White CS and fussy cut it out using paper snips. A tiny piece of Whisper White CS with a few score lines in it (from the Simply Scored tool) make the face mask and Whisper White Baker’s Twine make the straps.
I always make the inside of the card coordinate with the outside. This card was no different. Seaside Spray sponged on the top and Old Olive sponged on the bottom and a little piggy stamped in the corner.
This little piggy was from the same stamp set and colored with the stampin’ blends. I’m just tickled pink with how it came out. I even put some on Etsy for sale. 🙂 If you want more directions on how to make this card, please watch the YouTube video below. Don’t forget to subscribe to my channel while you are there.

Just wanted to say what a great idea. Adds a little whimsy to all this stress.
THIS IS CRAZY ADORABLE!!!!! You have made a cute, whimsical card that’s current but not depressing or discouraging–and the happy pig inside is filled with hope. Well done you! I afraid I will have to copy this! Thank you for sharing!
That is sooo cute, Lisa!!!
You are artistic and creative. Thank you for sharing this sweet and fun card.
Piggy with mask. How cute and how relevant to our times! Thanks for sharing. Stay safe!
I just love your card and will need to case it to send to friends during this stay at home time. I have all of these products, so will probably make a few for close friends. Thanks so much for your inspiration.
This is a fantastic card! Love it.
Super cute! Thanks for the instructions!
ADORABLE & GENIUS, I LOVE the way you think! TFS.
Yes I would love the “stayed home” PDF file that you offered to send. That is the cutest card ever. Thanks so much
Thanks for the reminder. I have added the link into the text above. You can download it there.
This little piggy stamp set is the best. I have used it over and over. My friend who is an RN has recently gone to New Jersey to help with the COVID19 illness there and is relieving some of the work load for their nursing staff. I just sent her a card with the “she believed she could” “so she did” and little flying piggy. I just can’t wait to do this one and send to her in next weeks package. She is there until July 2020 and has her son and husband here in Texas. Thanks for the always cuteness!!!!! Linda Bates, Early Texas
