Hi Stampers. Today’s Stampin’ Friends Blog Hop is asking “What are you doing?”. Well, in light of what’s going on in the world – I’m staying home with my pampered pets! This adorable Playful Pets suite is soooo cute! I had to buy the whole suite! Have you seen that yet? In our catalog we have 10 suites that you can order with an “I want it all” order number.
I made these adorable magnetic closure fun fold cards on my Facebook Live a week ago. You can find the video HERE. Once I get it on YouTube, I will upload that below.
The dog on the front of this card is actually cut from the Playful Pets DSP using the Pets Dies that come in the Pampered Pets bundle. I also backed the dog with a layer of Basic Black CS, cut from the same die – to give the dog more stability, since the Playful Pets DSP is thinner than the CS.
Behind the dog, I have a Basic Black scalloped circle and a circle of the Playful Pets DSP cut using the Layering Circles Dies. The arm that swings in from the right is tucked between the inside layers of Basic Black and Whisper White. I have placed a tiny magnet between the Basic Black circle and the Playful Pets DSP.
On the left side of the card front, I have a layer of Basic Black and a layer of Playful Pets DSP. I have placed a tiny magnet between the Basic Black circle and the Playful Pets DSP.
There are no cats in my house, my daughter does have two cats. So… I have grand-kitties. 🙂
The cat was stamped in Memento Black and colored using the Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends.
Inside the card, I have stamped the greeting (from the Pampered Pets stamp set) in Real Red ink.
Since the inside of the card mentions “treat”, it seemed only fitting that the 3D item for this post should be a treat. I used a 3″ x 4″ resealable bag and put a topper on it. The Basic Black topper is 3″ x 4″, scored at 2″. The DSP over it is 2-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ with the same style dog (backed with Basic Black CS, again, for stability). So, what do you think?? Is this suite now on your wish list??

Fun fun fun!!! I used this suite too and I’m loving it!!! It’s just too stinkin cute! Thanks for sharing
Fun, fun, fun! I just got the suite and cannot wait to play. LOVE your projects!
Adorable projects! Love he magnetic closure for the card and you can never go wrong with some treats for a special pup!
I finally got the stamp set in…and now I really can’t wait to use it! I love the way your card opens.
Your card is ADORABLE and the doggie bone treat holder is TOO DARN CUTE!!!!!!
This is such a good idea with the magnets! I haven’t ever considered putting magnets on my cards. I am allergic to cats, dogs, horses… so I have no pets but this suite is adorable and at the top of my wish list. I’m sad that it is not orderable status with a TBD date?. Thanks for sharing.
The card is so cute. I have not had time to use my stamp set. Summer is so busy with so much outdoor work to be done.
Where do you buy the magnets? Years ago I had bought some when I was scrap booking, but don’t remember where I found them. Locally I am sure. Stores don’t seem to have as much crafty supplies here locally as in the years past.
Could you give me the link to the magnets you bought on amazon? (Size)
of course, the image link below the Stampin’ Up! products should have worked, I fixed it. Here is the link: https://amzn.to/3iGylSh
I am very sorry for my late review this month. But I totally love your projects. The card is gorgeous and the treat bag fits perfect to it. Thank you so much for showing!
