Hi Stampers. Don’t you just love this “Save the Date” card made using the High Tide and Timeless Tropical stamp sets? Some of you know, I sell finished cards and take custom orders on Etsy. (You can view my store at www.QueenBCreations.com). Someone contacted me and asked me to make a save the date card for a beach wedding.
I made several samples for her. This was one of many. This one was my favorite. This is an easel card with a Crumb Cake base. To make the easel card, I started with a 4-1/4″ x 11″ piece of CS, scored at 2-3/4″ & 5-1/2″. The Seaside Spray layer was dry embossed using the recently retired High Seas 3D Embossing Folder. This layer was adhered to the front of the card using Stampin’ Seal by only adhering the bottom half of the layer.
The focal point is a stitched rectangle cut from Whisper White CS that I stamped a scene using the High Tide stamp set. For the palm trees, I used a stamp from the Timeless Tropical stamp set and inked it using stampin’ write markers and die cut them using the In The Tropics Dies. The sentiment was printed on my printer onto Pool Party CS. I then cut it down to a 1/2″ strip and flagged the ends with the Banner Triple Punch. A tiny strip of Sparkle Glimmer Paper is attached to the bottom with glue dots.
Inside the card is simple. I added a little sand and some greenery using stamps from the High Tide stamp set. The date was stamped onto a stitched oval using Old Olive ink and stamps from the Make a Difference stamp set, that was layered onto a Seaside Spray scalloped oval. This was then attached to the inside of the card using stampin’ dimensionals.
The ovals act as the “stop” to keep the card open. What do you think?
