Hi Stampers. Welcome back for another Stampin’ Friend Blog Hop. This month we are featuring the theme “thanks”. This can mean so many things and I do make alot of thank you cards. Because this was a hop, I wanted to do something special, so I rooted around my studio and found the mini coffee cups and the mini coffee carriers. Lately, I’ve been very thankful for coffee!! So, I got to play around with some products I bought and hadn’t used yet. Bonus!
This is what I came up with. I found this PDF pattern for the mini coffee cup wraps online and used the Gilded Autumn Paper. The Gilded Autumn Paper is SO PRETTY in person!! While it looks live I’ve used two types of DSP, it’s actually the same piece, just the other side!
I decorated the mini coffee carrier by wrapping the Gilded Autumn DSP around the bottom, using Stampin’ Seal. First I did the leaves part and then I adhered the strip with the chevrons on it around the top, using Stampin’ Seal.
The tags are from the North Pole Wonder Dies. The main tag is Early Espresso and then there is a mini strip of DSP on the bottom, then I used the die to cut the top 1″ of the tag in the Gilded Autumn (leaves) DSP. The leaf is made using the Brushed Metallic Paper and the Gathered Leaves Dies. (I just love how the dies cut and emboss at the same time!) The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso ink onto the Very Vanilla that was die cut with the circle tag. The tag was finished off using the metallic ribbon from the Basket Weave and Metalic Ribbon Combo Pack. The gold cord is from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack. (They match the DSP wonderfully!)
I pulled out the North Pole Wonder Dies again to make the circle tags for the mini coffee cup in Early Espresso, the Gilded Autumn (leaves) DSP and then Very Vanilla. Those are adhered over a skinny strip of the Gilded Autumn (chevrons) DSP, I had adhered around the card using Stampin’ Seal.
I couldn’t decide what to stamp in the center circle on the actual mini coffee coffee cup – what would you put there? Let me know in the comments.
My Card:
This simple Thank You card is done using alot of the same supplies. It has an Early Espresso card base and then covered that in Gilded Autumn DSP. The top piece of DSP was die cut using the Ornate Frames Dies and then adhered at an angle and the excess was cut off from the back side.
I used a 2-1/4″ punch to die cut the Brushed Metallic and then the Thanks (from the Many Mates) was stamped in Cinnamon Cider ink onto a 2″ circle of Very Vanilla. The card is finished off with a bow (tied on my bow maker) of Cinnamon Cider ribbon attached with a glue dot. Under the “thanks”, I added 3 Cinnamon Cider enamel dots.
Inside of the card is coordinting sentiment from Many Mates stamped in Cinnamon Cider ink on a Very Vanilla layer. The leaf and pumpkins in the corners are from the Gather Together stamp set and also stamped in Cinnamon Cider ink. Below is the line up, so you can follow along on the hop and get more great ideas.
