Hi Stampers. You many notice a few things changing around here.  I’m investing some time and money into improving how I do my business.  The goal is to make everything a better experience for YOU!  I welcome any feedback and recommendations you may have as I move forward. But, I’m sure, the reason you are really here is to learn how to make a card!  I gotcha covered!

Stampin' Up! So Sentimental Rooted in Nature Baby Wipe Technique by Lisa Ann Bernard of Queen B Creations

Last week I shared a post on how to do the Baby Wipe Technique.  You can find that post HERE. Today’s cards feature the same technique with a different color base.  This card starts with a Merry Merlot Card base and is followed by a layer of Very Vanilla that has been stamped with the leaf from the Rooted in Nature stamp set.

Before I adhered the layer to the card base, I tied a bow in a piece of Linen Trim (on my bow maker tool – video showing how it works hereorder your own here) and wrapped it around the top layer.  The Linen Trim is adhered to the back of this layer and then the layer is adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Seal. The sentiment is stamped onto a scrap of Very Vanilla CS in Merry Merlot ink and die cut using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. A layer of Merry Merlot CS, also cut using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies backs the Very Vanilla layer and the two are attached to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Inside the card is a layer of Very Vanilla that was again stamped in the beautiful leaves and a Merry Merlot sentiment.  So simple, yet, so pretty!

This made on a Crushed Curry card base is VERY similar.  The leaves are done in the Baby Wipe Technique using the same stamp.  It also uses the Linen Trim as a bow around the top layer.

For this sentiment, I used a stamp from the So Sentimental stamp set and stamped it in Soft Suede ink.  I then used a sponge dauber and some crushed Curry ink to ink around the outer edge. This was attached to the card front using stampin’ dimensionals and a few sequins were added to the edges as a bit of bling.

Inside the card is a simple Very Vanilla layer of CS with the leaves stamped up along the left side.  I left the sentiment off of this one to leave more room to write my message.
