Hi Stampers. Happy Monday! Since I work for myself, I love Mondays!  It’s like a fresh start and it’s Facebook Live day over on my Facebook Business Page! (We are doing a simple shaker card class today at 2:30pm MT). Today’s post is a card I made for Facebook Live two weeks ago.  If you like today’s post, check out the masculine circle swirl card in this other post HERE.

For the base of this card, I chose Terracotta Tile and paired it with the Ornate Garden DSP.  Pulling a few other colors from that DSP, I’m also using Terracotta Tile, Mint Macaron, Old Olive and Bumblebee for the swirls on my card.  The “happy birthday” is in Early Espresso.

For the circles, I die cut the first and last color using the largest and smallest circle of the Stitched Shapes Dies. The two middle colors were cut using the two middle sizes, one of each of those colors. They were then cut in half and assembled to make the swirls on the front of the card. (How, is all explained in the video tutorial below.  If you saw the mess of a FB live on Facebook, don’t worry, I edited out the technical difficulties and the YouTube video is much better.)

I then cut a Whisper White stitched circle and stamped the “happy” from the Well Said stamp set in Early Espresso ink. The “birthday” is die cut from a piece of Early Espresso CS (with adhesive sheet on the back) using the Well Written Dies.  To help cover the seam where the circles meet, I positioned the birthday right over the center.

Inside the card is a simple 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Whisper White CS with the sentiment (also from the Well Said stamp set) stamped in Early Espresso ink.  To help coordinate with the outside of the card, a leftover strip of the DSP is adhered on the left side.

At first, this technique really threw me for a loop.  Since my motto here is “There is NO STRESS in stamping”, I worked had to get a simpler way to present this technique. Once I got it all straight in my head it really was quite easy – check out the video below to see just how easy I make it for you!
