Hi Stampers. How are you liking the new Stampin’ Up! 2021 January to July Mini Catalog?  There are SO MANY beautiful things in there it’s hard to keep up!  One of the first sets I was able to play with is part of the Dandy Garden Suite – the Dragonfly Garden bundle.

The Dragonfly Garden is actually a full suite – called the Dandy Garden Suite, complete with two stamp sets, a punch, a set of dies, DSP, laser cut paper, twin, cards & envelopes, Memories & More cards and embellishments.

For my card, I used the Dragonfly Garden bundle (just part of the Dandy Garden Suite). I started with a Very Vanilla card base and on the left half of the front, I layered a 2″ x 4″ piece of the Dandy Garden DSP over a 2-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Mossy Meadow CS.  On the right side, I stamped the flowers and sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink and colored the flowers with the Stampin’ Blends.

Next, I insert the punch from the left side onto the card front (pushed all the way in) and punched.  The dragonfly will rest inside this cutout.

Inside the card is a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of the Dandy Garden DSP.  The dragonfly was stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink onto a scrap of Very Vanilla CS and punched out using the Dragonflies Punch. A little Wink of Stella on the wings and a few rhinestones in the middle added a little sparkle. (The Rich Razzleberry ink was still a little wet when I added the wink of stella and it blended a little and turned the sparkle pink – I like it!)

The dragonfly wings were scored on either side of the body and a few glue dots were adhered to the underside.  With the card closed, I placed the dragonfly in the center of the cutout. With the wings folded up you can open and close the card.  Folding the wings down secures it shut.
