Hi Stampers. When the new catalog went live earlier this month, the Dragonfly Garden bundle was one of the items that popped out at me.  It’s actually part of an entire suite – the Dandy Garden Suite.  The dragonflies have been fun to play around with and I love this type of closure.

This Dragonfly Garden card starts with a Blackberry Bliss card base – such a rich, gorgeous color!  I cut two pieces of the Dandy Garden DSP, 4″ x 5-1/4″.  By using two sheets of the 6″ x 6″ stack with the same pattern and cut on the same sides, I got two matching layers.  I adhered one to the inside and one to the outside.

Because the inside and outside layers of DSP were the same, when I punched the window on the card front, you can’t really tell, because the inside layer matches. How fun is that? Using the Dragonfly Garden stamp set, I stamped the dragonfly and the sentiment onto Basic White CS using Blackberry Bliss ink and punched them out.

The dragonfly was attached to the inside, but adding glue dots to the back and inserting it into the window punched out.  Using a punched piece of Blackberry Bliss CS, I backed the sentiment and adhered it to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Inside the card, I added a rectangle of Basic White CS, giving plenty of room to write a message.  A swarm of dragonflies, also from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set, was stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink.
