Hi Stampers. I just love a man who is Handsomely Suited. When the Stampin’ Up! Jan-Jun Mini Catalog was released, the Well Suited Suite was one of the first things on my list. Back in the day, we used to cut the suit pieces ourselves – see one of my really old card creation on Pinterest HERE.
I am so impressed by the Well Suited Designer Series Paper, it looks so much like an actual suit and tie. (The suit and tie on this card are the same piece of DSP, just showing the two sides). My card base is done in Thick Basic White CS and then the DSP is layered over that. It was easiest to start with the tie and shirt collar first and add the jacket over it, so the tie is BEHIND the suit. The collar is glued flat on the top of collar, but not at adhered at all at the bottom of the collar.
Likewise, the pocket square was adhered to the pocket, and that to the jacket front, before the lapel was adhered. There is a mini Stampin’ Dimensional between the tie and the tie knot and under the top of either side of the lapel. Having these pop up a little made them look much more realistic and defines the two pieces.
Inside the card, I simply stamped the “happy birthday” sentiment (from the Handsomely Suited stamp set) in Pacific Point ink.
The Well Suited Suite has everything you need to make a whole bunch of great masculine cards. You get the Handsomely Suited Bundle (Handsomely Suited stamp set and Suit & Tie Dies), the Well Suited DSP and the Well Suited Twine Combo.
