Easter blog hop

Hi Stampers. Welcome to our Easter Blog Hop – you are going to be thrilled with all the fun ideas we have for you today! My card for today is a fun one, inspired by a fellow demo (Lisa Curico).  Lisa used this awesome fold with the Hey Chick stamp set. Once I saw it, I KNEW I had to give it a try.  I love a good fun fold and these floating panels looked so fun!

For my card, I chose an Easter theme (perfect for today’s blog hop, right?!?!).  It has a Balmy Blue card base with a gatefold.  I used a piece of CS with a scallop along the top and white ink on a sponge dauber to sponge on the clouds.

Isn’t this little lamb the cutest?  I stamped him in Memento Black and colored him with the Stampin’ Blends.  Using the light Smokey Slate marker, I very lightly added some ink and then blended it with the Color Lifter to soften it.

When you open the card – these two panels pop up.  How fun is that!?!?

For the grass, I used Garden Green CS and the Friendly Silhouette Dies.

I liked that the grass was a little on the tall side and made it look like the little animals were hiding in the grass.

There are two versions of this card here, one I made before the video and one during the video.

Do you like the bunny fully behind the grass (like this version) or just partially (like the prior photo)?

What would you add to these floating panels?
