Hi Stampers. I have shown a few tag topper closure cards in the last month or so. Those cards have all be portrait orientation, this time it’s a landscape orientation and uses the Whale Done bundle.
This Whale Done card starts with a 4-1/4″ x 11″ Just Jade card base. I used the Delightful Tag Topper to punch a tag topper at either end and cut off the flaps to the left and right of the tag part. On one side I scored right at the edge of the tag and measured across 5-1/2″ and scored across the card. The two sides are tied together with a piece of Whisper White seam binding ribbon.
The front of the Whale Done card is decorated with a layer of Pretty Peacock CS followed by a layer of the Whale of a Time DSP 1/4″ smaller on both sides. I used the Whale punch to punch out the Whale from the Whale of a Time DSP and then cut a second out of scrap cardstock. Using liquid glue, I adhered the two whales together. This gave the DSP whale more stability and allowed me to mount him to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and not worry about the paper bending.
Inside the card I used the Whale Done stamp set to do all my stamping onto a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Basic White CS. The sentiment is stamped in the center using Pretty Peacock ink. In the lower right corner the coral is stamped in Calypso Coral ink and the seaweed is stamped in Old Olive ink. A few mini seahorses stamped in Just Jade can also be seen with the card closed. Tomorrow we will use the same materials to make a portrait style card.
