Hi Stampers.  Did you get the Darling Donkey stamp set as a freebie during Sale-A-Bration?  When I first saw that stamp set I KNEW I had to make a card featuring Eeyore (he’s my favorite!).  Then I found the Kangaroo & Company stamp set in our mini catalog and it all fell into place!

Isn’t this card just the cutest?  I made the background using our new blending brushes with Stampin’ Up! inks on Shimmery White cardstock.

I started with an Old Olive card base, 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″.  Next, is a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Shimmery White cardstock.  This layer is ink blended using the new blending brushes with Old Olive, Pear Pizazz, Balmy Blue, Pacific Point & Misty Moonlight inks. During my facebook live, featured in the video below, I used several different types of cardstocks to test out the blending.  I tried Whisper White, Basic White, Glossy White and Shimmery White – Shimmery White won, hands down!

The donkey from the Darling Donkey’s Sale-A-Bration stamp set is stamped in Smokey Slate ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends.  I used the Stampin’ Blends to widen his face a bit, so the tip of his nose wasn’t a ball. Kanga and Roo (from Kangaroo & Company) are stamped in Cinamon Cider ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends.  I created the shirt for Roo by just coloring it in. Those two are die cut out using the coordinating, Kangaroo Dies and Kanga was attached with Stampin Dimensionals.

Inside the card is a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Basic White CS with the sentiment (from Kangaroo & Company) stamped in the center in Old Olive ink. To make the greenery across the bottom, I used the grass stamp (from Kangaroo & Company) with Old Olive ink and the Stamparatus with the hinge stamping technique. Lastly, I used the blender brushes to add a little more green under the grass.
