Hi Stampers. Welcome back to a Crafty Collaborations Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop. This month we are inspired by the Hope Box Paper Pumpkin kit. Good news – if you missed out on this one – you can still get it! While supplies last of course…
I used my Hope Box Paper Pumpkin kit to make an alternative card and decorate a Mini Paper Pumpkin Box.
Above is a photo of what came in the kit. You may notice that it has multiple languages. Personally, I don’t have a need for the pieces with the other languages, BUT I was able to use those parts anyway!
Do you see my label in the middle of this card? It’s made up of two of the labels in a non-English language. I stamped the word hope on the back of one and cut a second one in half and adhered it to the first one to create a border.
Because the back label was cut in half there was a small gap on the sides of the label. To cover this up, I used the Label Me Fancy punch to punch a slot of each side.
For my card base, I used one of the pink bases from the Hope Box Paper Pumpkin kit. The layers are also front the kit and were already pre-cut and ready to go, making this super easy!
Next, I used the 3/8″ Blushing Bride frayed ribbon to feed though the slots, wrap around the small layer (from the Hope Box Paper Pumpkin kit) and attach on the back of this layer. This layer is then attached to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals (so the ribbon attached on the back would not bulge). As an accent, I attached three of the small butterflies (from the Hope Box Paper Pumpkin kit) and three Opal Rounds to the card front.
Using the stamps from the Hope Box Paper Pumpkin kit, I stamped the sentiment in Bermuda Bay ink and the Butterflies in Polished Pink ink on the inside.
I also decorated one of our Mini Paper Pumpkin Boxes with more pieces from the kit. Covering the box is one of the pink card bases from the Hope Box Paper Pumpkin and some Pattern Party DSP. The kit included the large butterfly and tag along with some wide Blackberrry Bliss ribbon to put around the regular box the kit came ink. I substituted the smaller Blushing Bride ribbon to keep in scale with the smaller box.
