Hi Stampers. Today was hot, I’m ready for snow! Closest I was able to get was this adorable Penguin Playmates DSP.  This Designer Series Paper is a level 1 Sale-a-bration item and is not available for sale.  It can only be earned for FREE until the end of this month.

My card base starts out as a 4-1/4″ x 8-1/2″ piece of Misty Moonlight CS, scored at 5-1/2″ and cut at 6-1/2″.  This gives a 1″ section after the fold and a separate 4-1/4″ x 2″ piece of CS. The two are joined together again using a 4-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ piece of Mercury Glass Acetate.

To decorate the front of the card, I used the Penguin Playmates DSP as a layer over the Misty Moonlight CS – 4″ x 3/4″ and 4″ x 1-3/4″.

Next, I cut out the animals from another piece of the Penguin Playmates DSP. The penguin was easy – that punches out with the Penguin Builder Punch. I used paper snips to cut out the polar bear and the fox.  Stampin’ Seal was used to attach the polar bear and the fox and the penguin was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I used a 4″ x 2″ piece of Basic White CS on the top and a 4″ x 5-1/4″ on the bottom.

I used the Penguin Place stamp set and Misty Moonlight ink to stamp the sentiments inside the card.

I used an additional fox and penguin, also cut from the Penguin Playmates to decorate the interior layer.

Overall, I was really happy with how it came out.  What do you think?  Will you be giving this fun fold a try?
