Love of Leave In Good Taste

Hi Stampers. I just love the wood textures in the In Good Taste DSP pack. My husband has been a cabinet maker for most of our 31 year marriage, so wood is a staple around our house.

My card starts with an Early Espresso card base – 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″. Next up is a 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ layer of Crumb Cake CS.

I used the Rectangle Postage Stamp Punch to punch out three each of the dark and light wood, from the In Good Taste DSP. These were arranged in a pattern on the Crumb Cake layer. An (approximately) 5″ piece of Diamond Weave Ribbon is wrapped around this layer and then it’s attached to the card front.

The wood “hello”, from the Love of Leaves stamp set, was stamped on a 1/2″ strip of Very Vanilla CS, this is layered over a 3/4″ strip of Early Espresso CS (both were flagged using the Pick a Banner Punch). An Early Espresso leaf, cut using the Stitched Leaves Dies (attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals) also decorates the front of the card.

Inside the card is a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Very Vanilla CS that has been stamped on, using the Love of Leaves CS and Soft Suede and Cinnamon Cider ink.  What do you think?
