Happy Thanksgiving from Queen B Creations - I appreciate you!

Hi Stampers. Before we get started on this Celebrate Sunflowers card, I want to start out by saying Happy Thanksgiving and say how thankful I am for all of you!  It’s because of YOU that I can enjoy a job that I love!  Thank you for your support!

This Celebrate Sunflower card starts with a card base that is 8-1/2″ x 4-1/4″, scored at 5-1/2″. I decorated the front of the card with a 2-3/4″ x 4″ layer of Basic Black CS, followed by a 2-1/2″ x 3-3/4″ layer of black and white buffalo plaid DSP from the Pattern Party DSP pack. These were adhered with Stampin’ Seal. (Note: a tiny magnet is hidden behind the DSP layer, for the strap with sunflower to attached to.)

The strap of the card is a 5-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ strip of Crushed Curry CS with a 5-1/2″ x 1-1/4″ strip of the Basic Black CS adhered to the top.  This strip is then scored 1/2″ from the right.  The 1/2″ is adhered to the backside of the inside layers before it is adhered to the card. (Note: a tiny magnet is hidden behind the Basic Black strip and matched up to the magnet on the card front.)

Using the Sunflower Dies, I die cut the parts for the Sunflower. The solid sunflower is die cut from Crushed Curry CS and the solid leaves are die cut from Old Olive CS. (Note: The rest of the cardstock has adhesive sheet on the back side – to make assembly so much easier!) The top detailed sunflower is die cut from Daffodil Delight CS and the top detailed leaves are die cut from Mossy Meadow CS. For the center of the sunflower, I used Early Espresso and Soft Suede CS. This was then attached to the strap using Stampin’ Seal.

Inside the Celebrate Sunflower card is a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Basic Black CS, followed by a 3-3/4″ x 5″ layer of Basic White CS. As a sort of accent, and to coordinate with the front of the card, I have a 1/2″ x 3-3/4″ strip of the Pattern Party DSP on the left side.

The small sunflower, from the Celebrate Sunflower stamp set, is stamped in the upper right corner using Crushed Curry ink.  The sentiment, also from Celebrate Sunflower, is stamped in the lower right corner using Mossy Meadow ink.
