Hi Stampers. In looking over my holiday supplies, I decided that the Angels of Peace stamp set and the Peaceful Place DSP go well together. I created the following two cards using a heat embossing technique combined with the white water color pencil.

Card #1:

This Angels of Peace card starts with a Smoky Slate card base 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″.  Using the Peaceful Place DSP, I cut a 3″ x 4″ and a 2-1/2″ x 4″ piece. I overlapped the two by 1/4″ and adhered them together, wrapped the Metallic Mesh Ribbon around the seam. This layer was then adhered to the card base using Stampin’ Seal.

Next, I used the Scalloped Contours Dies and the Rectangle Stitched Dies to die cut layers of Basic Gray CS. The angel (from Angels of Peace stamp set) was stamped onto the smaller layer in Versamark ink and heat embossed with White embossing powder. To make the angel pop a little, I colored her dress and wings with a white watercolor pencil. The sentiment was heat embossed in white onto a 3/8″ strip of Smoky Slate CS. These were all adhered to the card front (the top layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals) and a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added as a finishing touch.

Inside the card is a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Basic White CS. Using the Angels of Peace stamp set and Basic Gray ink, I stamped the inside of the card.

Card #2:

For my second card, I used the larger angel from the Angels of Peace stamp set and cut my layers with the Paper Trimmer instead of dies. I also used just a single 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of the Peaceful Place DSP with the Metallic Mesh Ribbon wrapped around it.

This time I used Silver Foil as the matting layer and heat embossed the larger angel (from the Angels of Peace stamp set) in silver embossing powder.

The inside of this card is similar to the other in that it’s a Basic White layer with Basic Gray ink. I can’t decide which one I like better.  Which one do you like?
