Hi Stampers. Tomorrow is the day – Tuesday, January 4th – the Stampin’ Up! January to June Mini Catalog goes live and we kick off Sale-A-Bration! It seemed only fitting that today’s card use the Happy Hedgehog – since I’m happy, haha.

Stampin' Up! Happy Hedgehogs handmade card by Lisa Ann Bernard of Queen B Creations

This adorable card starts with a Soft Suede card base, followed by a layer of Beauty of the Earth DSP. Using the Happy Hedgehog stamp set, I stamped in Memento Black ink onto a layer of Very Vanilla CS. These images were colored with the Stampin’ Blends.

Before adhering the Very Vanilla Layer (with Stampin’ Dimensionals), I used the Blending Brushes to brush a little balmy blue on the top. As an added accent, I punched two of the corners with the Corner Trio Punch. The hedgehog was punched out of Soft Suede and Crumb Cake CS.

A sponge dauber and a little Soft Suede ink gave some definition to the top of the hedgehog. A Basic Black marker was used to make the eye, nose and feet. The hedgehog was then adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Inside the card is a layer of Very Vanilla CS where I stamped using the Happy Hedgehog stamp set and Memento Black ink. Again, I colored with Stampin’ Blends and used the Blender Brushes to add a little Balmy Blue ink to the top.
