Hi, Stampers. Today’s card is a simple layout that can be done with any Designer Series Paper. My card is done using the Heart & Home Suite. This is a mega-suite – it contains two bundles, the DSP, ribbon, embellishments, memories & more cards, and doilies! The possibilities are abundant!
This card starts with a Fresh Freesia card base – 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″. The Pale Papaya Layer is 3-3/4″ x 5″ and the Basic White layer is 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″. The DSP is where this card gets fun. It starts with a 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ piece of the Heart & Home DSP.
Cut this piece of DSP in half diagonally. Take the upper right triangle and cut again straight down from the point to the longest side. Then, take the smallest triangle, flip it over, and glue it to the upper left corner of the cardstock. Glue the largest triangle to the lower left. The bouquet on the front is die cut using the Honeybee Blooms Dies – part of the Honeybee Home Bundle, which is part of the Heart & Home Suite.
Inside the card is a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Basic White CS. I used the Blessings of Home stamp set (part of the Blessings of Home bundle – which is part of the Heart & Home suite) to stamp the flowers in Pale Papaya ink and the sentiment in Evening Evergreen ink. This card idea would be a great way to put all that DSP to good use!
