Hi, Stampers. Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, the theme is Cute Critters. (I chose to make a pop-out book card using the Hello Ladybug bundle). We really hope that you will be inspired by all the amazing creations the Pals are sharing with you! As you hop from blog to blog, we would love for you to leave a comment. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
This really fun pop-out book card starts with a basic card base – 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″. The stamping, for the front of the card, was done on a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Basic White CS. I used the Hello Ladybug stamp set with Garden Green, Memento Black and Gorgeous Grape ink. The bow was tied in the ribbon and the ribbon was wrapped around this layer (and adhered on the back of the layer with glue dots) before the layer was attached to the card base.
The inside of the pop-out book card starts with an 8″ x 4″ layer of Highland Heather CS. Use the template below to see where to score and cut this layer to make the insert. Full instructions are also in the video below.

Before adhering the inside layer, I used the Hello Ladybug stamp set and Highland Heather ink to stamp flowers around the outer edge.
The “pages” for the pop-out book card are a 2-1/4″ x 2-3/4″ layer of Gorgeous Grape CS, followed by a 2″ x 2-1/2″ layer of Basic White CS. Again, I used the Hello Ladybug stamp set with Garden Green and Gorgeous Grape inks. After adhering these layers to the inside, I stamped the ladybug wings onto Basic White CS in Gorgeous Grape and Memento Black ink and used the Ladybug Punch to punch out the wings. The body was punched out of Basic Black CS using the Ladybug Punch.
Adhesive was only added on the two outer sides and up to the first score lines (see more info on this in video below). I hope you give this pop-out book card fold a try – it’s fun!
