Hi, Stampers. TGIF! This was a busy week for me. I held three in-person classes, did my livestream online, a doctor appt, a dentist appt, and more. I’m super ready for a weekend! It’s weeks like this that I’m happy to create a quick and simple card! This book binding card made using the Color & Contour stamp set worked great!
My book binding card starts with a Coastal Cabana card base is 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″ and 5-1/4″. I cut a 3″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Basic White CS and used the Color & Contour stamp set to stamp the flowers in Memento Black ink and the sentiment in Flirty Flamingo ink. The flowers were colored using the Stampin’ Blends. Using the Blending Brushes I blended some Granny Apple Green ink to the bottom of this layer.
This layer was then added to the left side of the card front. On that 1″ section on the left side, I added a 3/4″ x 5-1/4″ strip of the Pattern Party DSP. Using my bow maker tool, I tied a ribbon in some Pool Party Sheer Ribbon and then wrapped it around the left side of the card front. I adhered the ribbon on the inside of the card and then adhered that section together, front and back. This creates the “book binding” effect for my book binding card.
Inside the book binding card is a 3″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Basic White CS. Using the Color & Contour stamp set, I stamped the flower in the upper left and lower right corners. This was then adhered to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.
