Hi, Stampers. Today’s card features a bundle that is retiring – the Seascape bundle (Seascape stamp set and Sea Life dies – on sale). I paired this bundle with the Rainbow Glimmer Paper (also retiring and on sale) to do an inlaid die-cut cut technique.  I made two cards showing how different it can look depending on which part of the Rainbow Glimmer Paper you use.

Stampin’ Up! Seascape Bundle Birthday Card:

Here is my first card…  I had to laugh as I was typing up the text for this blog post.  Can you see it?  Look at the photo above and tell me what doesn’t belong… But, anyway… My card starts with a Highland Heather card base – 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″.  After wrapping a piece of ribbon around a  4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of DSP (and adhering on the backside), it is then added to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.

Whew, the back to that Stampin’ Dimensional must have fallen off before I took this photo.  Honestly, I could have removed that with photoshop or just retake the photo, but it’s kinda funny.  Where is the strangest place you find these things?

Inside the card is a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Basic White CS, onto which I stamped an underwater seascape scene.

Stampin’ Up! Seascape Bundle Thank You Card:

The focal point was made by die cutting a seahorse out of a 4-1/4″ x 3″ piece of Rainbow Glimmer Paper and out of a 4-1/4″ x 3″ Basic White CS. The Basic White “frame” was adhered to a 4-1/2″ x 3-1/4″ layer of Balmy Blue CS. The Rainbow Glimmer seahorse was then inserted into the Basic White frame.

The focal point was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The “thank you” sentiment (from the Seascape stamp set) was stamped onto a 1/2″ x 3″ strip of Basic White CS, this was placed in the center, even with the ribbon. A few sequins or pearls were added for just a little bling.

The fish were stamped in Pumpkin Pie ink, the seaweed was stamped in Pear Pizazz ink and then the sentiment in Highland Heather ink. The coral in the bottom right is die cut using the Sea Life dies.
