Hi, Stampers. Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, the theme is New 2022-2024 In Colors. I chose to make a card using the Starburst Technique. We really hope that you will be inspired by all the amazing creations the Pals are sharing with you! As you hop from blog to blog, we would love for you to leave a comment. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

A new Annual Catalog means a new bundle of in colors.  Welcome the 2022-2024 In Colors!  This year we got a bright collection with Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, Starry Sky and Orchid Oasis.

For my project, I did a starburst technique and show off the 2022-2024 In Colors Glimmer Paper. It’s SO PRETTY!!!  I adhered my strips to a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Basic White CS and then that was added to a Starry Sky card base – 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″. For my focal point, I used the Happiness Abouts stamp set to stamp flowers onto 2022-2024 In Colors DSP (which is part of the bundle that is being offered as a FREE add on to our starter kit this month) using Memento Black ink.

While the Starburst Technique is gorgeous on it’s own, I added a focal point to go over it. I die cut them using the Blossoming Happiness Dies and made a kind of bouquet by adhering them to a circle of Vellum.  These were added to the card front (over the Starburst Technique) using Stampin’ Dimensionals and a Rhinestone Jewel was added to the larger flower.  There are stamps for the leaves, but I happened to have these leftover leaves that I had die cut from the Hues of Happiness DSP.

More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on June 8th. Our theme will be “CASE the Catalog” when our Design Team creates a project found in the new Annual Catalog and CASE it with their own creative twist.

Until then, have fun in your craft space.
