Welcome to another Pals Fun Fold Blog Hop. We have some fun cards for you today. I’m sharing a graduation card that is both fun and easy! Don’t forget to follow along using the links below to see them all.
I’m sharing with you one of the graduation cards I made on my YouTube live yesterday. This is a very simple way to do the graduation cap card. I’ve done it another way, you can see that post HERE.
As you will see in the video below, this card starts with a card base that is 4-1/4″ x 8-1/2″, scored 2-1/8″ from either side and then folded to meet in the middle.
Inside the card is a 4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White CS. I stamped using the balloon and string from Penguin Place and the sentiments from the Charming Sentiments stamp set.
Before I glued it to the inside of the card, I added a tab to hold the hat. It can be just about any size. I think mine was 1″ x 2-1/2″, scored in the middle. This was added with the score line above the card, so it will fold over the outside of the card when it’s closed.
In the video, I show you how I made the tassel. It’s added with glue dots and a Basic Pearl Jewel is added in the center of the cap.
Note: I also edited that part out and added it as a separate video if you are just looking for the tassel instructions. See that HERE.
The collar of the graduation card gown was made using a piece of Basic White CS, 2-1/8″ x 2-1/8″, cut diagonally. An additional 1/4″ strip of CS, Foil or Glimmer Paper can be added on the outside edge of color or you can use ribbon.
Here are some of the same card in various colors. What color graduation card will you be making?

Such a clever idea! This is a keeper card for sure! Wendell colors would be navy and gold. My high school colors were black and white with some red thrown in.
oh, you are right, I did forget Wendell. Thank you!
Outstanding graduation card, Lisa! So much easier to do than the complicated fancy fold that looks similar. Thanks so much for sharing! You will be cased.
Oh good, I’m glad you liked it. I always hope to make things easy for you!
