Welcome to our Celebrating in Color Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop. Each month a group of us demonstrators use that months Paper Pumpkin Kit and come up with alternative ideas. I made a box to hold cards as my project this month.
The photo above shows how the Celebrating In Color cards look if put together according to the instructions.
This is my box, I used the hinge stamping method with the Stamparatus to stamp the word HAPPY four times on the tag (from the kit). This stamp was part of the Celebrating In Color Paper Pumpkin kit. I then colored the words with the Tahitian Tide Stampin’ Blends, dark on the bottom – light on the top.
The top of the box is made using Tahitian Tide CS, while the bottom is made using Parakeet Party CS (video tutorial below).
The bottom of the box is made with two pieces of Parakeet Party CS- each piece is 7″ x 6-1/2″ and it is scored on 3 sides (2 long & 1 short) at 1″. Then the top of the box is made with two pieces of Tahitian Tide CS – each piece is 7-1/16″ x 6-11/16″.
Two pieces of Tahitian Tide DSP 5″ x 6″ decorate the top of the box and then my tag (mounted on the card front and trimmed down to be a mat) was adhered over that. Finally the sentiment was stamped in Basic Gray onto the tag and adhered with mini stampin’ dimensionals.
Here is a close up of the Stampin’ Blends coloring. The video below will explain this is much better. But, remember, the fun continues so be sure to click the pumpkin below that says “NEXT” to visit Joni’s blog to see what she did with the Celebrating in Color kit.
