Hi, Stampers. Happy Monday!  Today I am sharing a sliding peek-a-boo card. I tried to keep it simple. Please watch the video for best instructions – it’s kind of hard to put into words, just typing it out.

The main base of my card starts out with a piece of Thick Basic White – 4-1/4″ x 8-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″. An additional piece of Basic White is cut to 3″ x 4-1/4″, scored at 2-3/4″ on the short side (this is the moving piece) and a 3rd piece is cut to 4-1/4″ x 5-3/4″, scored at 5-1/2″ on the long side (this is the back of the card).

The front of the card is decorated by adding a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″  layer of Misty Moonlight CS. Using the 2-1/8″ circle die, I die cut a hole in the Misty Moonlight layer and both the inside and outside of the Basic White card base – all in the same spot. Using a piece of Pool Party ribbon, I tied a bow in the middle and wrapped the ends around  2-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Pool Party DSP.  The DSP was then added to the left side of the Misty Moonlight layer.

Using the 2-5/8″ scalloped circle die, I cut a scalloped circle from Misty Moonlight CS and a second one from Glimmer Paper.  Next. I used the 2-1/8″ (same one I used to cut the holes in the card base) to die cut the center out of each scalloped circle.  This left me a “ring” to decorate around the holes in the card front and inside circle.

The 4-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Misty Moonlight layer is adhered to the front of the main card base (the extra hangs over to the left).  Using tear and tape, the 4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Basic White CS is adhered to the back of the main card base on the 1/4″ end on the right (the extra hangs over to the left. The moving piece is then adhered to the back left side of the Misty Moonlight layer.

Using the Catch You Later stamp set, the cat and fish bowl are stamped on the far back panel in Memento Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends. The inside sentiment is stamped on the moving layer, through the hole when the card is open. An outside sentiment is stamped onto a 1″ x 2-1/4″ strip of Basic White. I flagged the ends and adhered this to the card front.

As I said before, the video explains it better…
