Hi, Stamper. Welcome back to my blog. I’m so glad you are here!  Today’s card is a Starburst card that I made during my LIVE on Monday.  The YouTube video is linked below.

My card starts with a Night of Navy card base – 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″. The next layer is a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Real Red CS. I created my starbust on a 3-3/4″ x 5″ layer of Basic White CS.

This starburst card was created using strips of the Hey Sports Fan DSP. I cut the strips into 1-1/2″ x 7″ for this card and then cut them diagonally.  The first strip was the one that went from upper right to lower left, I then laid down the ones adjacent, working my way o the outer edges.  After they were all down, I turned it over and cut off the excess from the backside. I put the adhesive on the Basic White layer (when I had the adhesive on the strips, there was glue on the part hanging over). Using Stampin’ Seal, I adhered this layer to the card front and then added my decorations with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin’ Tip:  I have made future ones using 1-1/4″ x 6″ strips and that worked better.  Especially because some of our paper is 6″ x 6″ and it’s half of our 12″ x 12″ – less waste.

Inside the starburst card is a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Very Vanilla CS. I adhered the strip of tickets to the left side of that layer and did the stamping in Real Red ink.
