Hi, welcome back to my blog. Today I am sharing the card I made on my LIVE last Monday. It is an emboss resist technique using the Waves of Inspiration bundle.

My emboss resist technique card starts out with a Starry Sky card base – 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″.  Next, I stamped the large wave onto a layer of Basic White CS 4″ x 5-1/4″ in Versamark ink and sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder and heated it with the heat tool. Using the Blending Brushes, I brushed Mango Melody and Daffodil Delight inks in the center, for the sun. Pool Party and Coastal Cabana inks were blended onto the wave and just above it.

I sponged the sky using Orchid Oasis, Starry Sky and some Night of Navy inks. Using a white gel pen, I made small dots in the sky, then added a few small Basic Rhinestone Jewels as stars. This layer was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Seal. Stampin’ Write markers were used to ink up the pelican, that was then stamped onto a scrap of Basic White CS and die cut using the Waves Dies. Stampin’ Blends were used to color it and then it was adhered to the card front using mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Inside the card I also used the emboss resist technique by stamping the sentiment in Versamark and heat embossing with white embossing powder. I created a scene using the Oceanfront stamp set for the sand and water. Then the pelican was stamped and colored with Stampin’ Blends, again. The sky is blending using the same blues and Blending Brushes. You can see how to do the emboss resist technique of this by watching the video below. Have you ever done the emboss resist technique?
