Hi, Stamper. Today’s cascading panels fun fold card has to be one of my new favorites! So fun, I have two of them for you today! This fun fold card is so much easier than it looks!
Cascading Panels Fun Fold Card 1:
The base of my cascading panels fun fold card starts with one piece of Poppy Parade CS – 4 1/8″ x 9 1/2″ scored at 1″- 2″- 7 1/2″- 8 1/2″. This will be the base of my card. Then I cut two additional pieces of Poppy Parade CS – 2 1/2″ x 3″ score at 3/4″ x 1 3/4″. These will add on to either end of the base and be the mechanisms that make the panels move.
For the panels I cut two pieces of Poppy Parade CS – 2 3/4″ x 3 5/8″ and two more – 2 1/4″ x 3 1/8″. Using Storybook Gnomes DSP, I cut two layers – 2 1/2″ x 3 3/8″. The front panels each have a 2″ x 2 7/8″ layer of Basic White. Inside the card is a 4″ x 5 3/8″ layer of Basic White.
One thing I love about the Storybook Gnomes DSP have object that can be die cut using the Gnomes Dies.
Cascading Panels Fun Fold Card 2:
This second cascading panels fun fold card is very similar! This time the base was done in Cherry Cobbler.
Again, I used the Storybook Gnomes DSP to decorate the middle panels and for the gnomes and mushroom pieces. I just chose blues this time instead of reds.
To “ground” the die cut objects, I added a little light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blend and blended it with the color lifter. (In the Poppy Parade card, I used Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend to do the same.)
Inside the cascading panels fun fold card, I stamped the sentiment in Pacific Point. (The Poppy Parade card has a Poppy Parade sentiment).
You really should give this cascading panels fun fold card a try – it’s so fun! I’ve already had several people give it a try and post photos in my Facebook Group – The Realm of Creativity. What kind of card would you make with this fold?
