Hi, Stamper. This week we have been using the Bottled Happiness bundle and I had hoped to use the Vintage Bottle Shaker Domes (that I know I ordered, but can’t find) and ended up with this handmade card with a gift card pocket, I think I may like better. Funny how that works sometimes…
This handmade card starts with a 5-1/2″ x 11″ card base. I scored (on the 11″ side) at 4-1/4″ and 8-1/2″. The extra 2-1/2″ was folded to the inside of the card. Using the paper trimmer, I cut off the top 2-3/4″ of the card front (and the extra that folded to the inside). I used the Label Me Lovely punch to punch an opening on the edge of that inside flap, and used tear & tape to adhere the top and bottom. The opening on the right side and the punched edge make it easy to be able to grab the gift card.
A 4″ x 2-1/2″ layer of Starry Sky DSP is adhered to the bottom of the card front. I did my stamping onto a Basic White layer that was die cut using the Scalloped Contour Dies and mounted onto a slightly larger layer of Starry Sky CS. The flowers are a two step stamping from the Bottled Happiness stamp set, in Starry Sky and Granny Apple Green inks. I then used the Vintage Bottle Punch to punch out the hole that would have held the shaker domes. Since I couldn’t find those I drew the stems on the bottle I punched out and colored with Pool Party Stampin’ Blends. The bottle was then insert back into the hole with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Inside my handmade card is a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Starry Sky DSP followed by a Basic White layer, die cut using the Scalloped Contour Dies. The sentiment is stamped in Starry Sky ink. On the left side you can see the pocket created for the gift card.
