Hi, Stamper. This week I am using the Lighthouse Point bundle. When I first saw this bundle, my first thought was that we recently retired a lighthouse. A closer look convinced me that I needed these dies. The lighthouse dies are larger and more detailed than the previous one.
I kept today’s Lighthouse Point card simple, with mostly black and white. The Basic Black card base is 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″. Next, I used a stencil I had created with a large circle in the middle. I held that over my 4″ x 5-1/4″ Basic White layer and used the Blending Brushes to brush Daffodil Delight ink onto this layer. Next, I wrapped linen thread around this layer and adhered it to my card base with liquid glue.
The Lighthouse Dies coordinate with the Lighthouse Point stamps, and have several pieces that make up the large lighthouse. Using the Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Lighthouse Dies to die cut the solid lighthouse in Basic White CS and the detailed one in Basic Black CS. I die cut the top of the lighthouse out of Daffodil Delight CS, so that I could use the window portion to inset into the Basic Black layer. These pieces were glued together with liquid glue and then adhered to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment was stamped in Memento Black ink onto Basic White CS and then cut out using the Double Oval Punch. This was adhered to a Basic Black scalloped oval (also cut with the Double Oval Punch) and then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Inside the Lighthouse Point card is a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Basic White CS. Again, I used the stencil to mask and then blending Daffodil Delight ink using the Blending Brushes. The sentiment is stamped in the center in Memento Black ink.
